Formally a private family home set in 1.6 acres of woodland garden grounds alongside River Thurso. A quiet location, and yet minutes to the town centre, public rail and bus transport this 1897 Georgian building, recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard while keeping the period features which continue to boast a traditional feel.

The beautifully landscaped garden offers a pitch & putt golf course, a summerhouse with surrounding decking for afternoon teas and a games court for an activities afternoon. Our accommodation offers a games room including a full-size billiards table, darts and chess board, an elegant dining/conference room and guests’ lounge.

The four individual stylish bedrooms come with 42″ flat screen LCD Smart TVs, free Wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers/hair straighteners, ironing/trouser press facilities and comfortable, super king, double and twin size beds.

After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, take the time to explore the extraordinary scenery of Caithness and Sutherland. We can provide information and advice on all local, memorable outdoor activities which you’ll find on your doorstep. Conveniently located and just a 5-minute walk is the local swimming pool, gym and steam room for which we have a corporate membership complimentary to our guests’ usage.

All of our four bedrooms are individually styled for your comfort while keeping the feel and style of the original features of the house. Each light and spacious super king and twin rooms have window dressed blackout blinds as well as curtains. These well-proportioned rooms have views over the garden.
